It was SO cold, & we were just planning on driving by, then going on to run some errands, but it looked so amazing that we, well, actually Daniel convinced me, to have us find a parking spot & walk over & see it -& did you know that all around it each state & Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands/American Samoa/etc each have a 4' live tree with lights & decorations donated from some business/community group in their state?! & then around the base of the National Tree was a neat train set with lots of trains going here & there -made me think of the gearheads in our families :) Oh, & for our pyro younger brother(s) -think William -there was the HUGEST "yule log" / bonfire ever that was in a concrete pit appx 6' deep at least!
