Merry Christmas!

Another full year -& full of changes. 3 years of marriage. 11 months now living in DC. 3 camping trips. 6 trips of family & friends coming to visit us. 1 (upcoming) trip back to Iowa (for Christmas). 9 work trips for Daniel, including Alabama, Seattle, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nevada... 2 big work projects for Sara, including graduation & a career day for the students at the cosmetology academy. 3 dear friends got married (not to each other!), & 3 others had happy, healthy babies. 1 spectacular fireworks show at the US Capitol while sitting at the Iwo Jima memorial. 1 hour drive for Sara to now see a dear ol' college roomie friend in Baltimore. 2 blocks to the closest subway "Metro" stop. 1 church home with lots of "young marrieds" couples to become friends with. 1 small group/Bible study that has been like family while our real families are far away. 1,000's of breath-taking-ly colored leaves all around us this fall -we learned that "leaf peeping" equals going for a drive to gaze at the leaves! & 1 great, big God, Jesus Christ, has been our joy & anchor through it all.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
With love & hugs, Daniel & Sara
