Scott Rank, that is. Formerly known as best man in our wedding, currently known as a best friend living & working in Istanbul, Turkey, returning today to begin his masters degree in Ottoman History at a private college there in Istanbul. We thoroughly enjoyed our 36 hours together this weekend (after he finished attending a journalism conference here in town this week)-it was full of Daniel & Scott roaming the city while I was at work on Saturday, then a foam noodle sword fight in the pool between the men, some late night pizza & stories, meeting our friends at church, grilling out & catching up on more stories before both men caught afternoon flights -Scott back to Turkey, & Daniel to Seattle for a 2 wk-long work trip.
