For this month's project, the intermediate students were put in teams of 4-5 & had to pull off a fashion runway show complete with hair, makeup, & costumes this past Thursday at noon. Their theme was "Movies", & they each drew a movie out of a hat to be their team's inspiration (ie: Alice in Wonderland, Matrix, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, etc). As a surprise, the other intermediate instructor, Tim, & I emcee'd the event by dressing & acting the part of "Mr & Mrs Smith", complete with hairdryers as our secret-agent-man "guns", & wadded-up paper balls as our grenades that we threw at each other :) The students were still calling me Mrs Smith all day Friday, they thought it was so cool...thought you'd enjoy a picture that shows the transformed classroom -I think one of the "judges" took this picture. One of Tim's teams won first place, & two of my groups came in 2nd & 3rd (we each had 5 teams).
