Couldn't resist the view of San Diego out of our airplane window -the glory & beauty of creation still takes my breath away & makes me feel like an exploratory kid again! At the last minute, I realized we had a 2.5 hour layover in Minneapolis (Daniel booked all flights/hotel/etc for this trip!), so I called up some old dear friends from my Northwestern College days that're still living in the Twin Cities -& Shelly (Uttech) & her hubby, Kirk, decided spending the afternoon at the airport with us was much more inviting than their textbooks (they've both just started their masters degrees). They really cheered our hearts from being so heavy from saying g'bye to family. And yes, that is a pregnant Shelly :) She & Kirk are expecting their first baby in September. So good to see them.
